“We Left it All Out There”
Wake Forest University’s MBA team put their all into a presentation that they hoped would be in case sponsor IBM’s “wheelhouse.”
“I think we left it all out there,” said Joe Parry, aiming to impress the judges while giving them “conceivable” options. He credited the delivery to a true team dynamic. “Everyone touched each idea.”
Wake took an approach of having everyone involved with the core components of brainstorming, then breaking into various small groups to hammer out the details. “This is the best team I have ever worked with,” said Ian Jankelowitz. “I can only hope to have colleagues like this when I enter the work force.”
Was there a secret weapon? The group maintained a quote wall to keep up with zany comments. Though limited on the details, apparently one team member came up with top notch ideas after returning from the bathroom. Yes, it made the quote board.
