Going to Extremes
Notre Dame was a bit shocked and disappointed to be among the first to present this morning, but they made the most of it while acknowledging that it would allow them more time to crash.
“We’re just happy to be done,” said team captain Colin Kresse. The team went the final 26 hours with no sleep and accidentally missed two meals preparing for their IB M case. The fatigue was so heavy that they decided to delay visiting some local establishments in order to catch up on sleep.
Team members preferred to keep details of their experiences with the judges closely guarded but they expressed an overall pride in what they presented. “We think it went pretty well,” Kresse said. “We upheld our school’s standards.”
